The statewide study noted highly improbable data for 50 schools in the state, including Moss Side Middle School. The process the school used to conduct the PSSAs was reviewed. This level funding is provided regardless of changes in the number of pupils who need special education services and regardless of the level of services the respective students required. Services designed to meet the needs of gifted students include the annual development of a Gifted Individual Education Plan, support services and specially-designed instruction designed to challenge the student.

Savannah missed the cross country season due to injury, but was a three-time all-state selection in cross country, and a two-time all-state pick in track. She was also a part of three district championship cross country squads and was named the Aldo Sebben Southwest Missouri Runner of the Year.

Missouri State also welcomes mid-distance runner Megan Nickles, a native of Bettendorf, Iowa, into the fold for A two-time all-conference and all-district selection in cross country, Nickles was a cross country state qualifier as a senior and was named the MVP of her track team as a sophomore.

As a senior, she ran a personal-best time in the m and led Bettendorf's distance medley team to a state title thanks to the third-best time in Iowa high school history. Nickles also earned top state finishes in the m and 1,m and helped the school's 4xm relay team to a runner-up finish at state.

She owns Bettendorf High's school records in the 4xm, 4xm, distance medley relay, and has the second-best 1,m time in school history.
